At 2 ToGo Travel, we believe that travel is more than just visiting new places — it’s about creating connections that may last a lifetime. As tour guides and travel club designers, our passion is curating journeys that bring people together, spark authentic conversations, and build meaningful communities.

Our adventures go beyond the ordinary, taking you off the beaten path to discover hidden gems, local traditions, and the untold stories of the regions we explore. Each trip is designed with care, blending culture, history, and shared experiences that bring travelers closer — not just to the world, but to each other.

At our core, we are builders of community through travel.

Our pre departure "BonVoyage" party gets us super excited and connected for our upcoming trip

Our post tour "After party" is a great way to reminisce- sharing photos and memories of our travels together!

From 4 or 5-star hotels to private villas, we only work with properties that operate in that "sweet spot" of authenticity and amenities, to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

We Deliver Active and Impromptu Adventuring

Whether it's hiking, kayaking, or biking, we offer a range of activities to suit any level. We never over schedule, so there's flexibility built in! Most properties we utilize have a fitness room and pool or spa options.

Together, Tom and Joan create trips that flow seamlessly, providing activities while leaving space for discovery, connection, and joy. With decades of combined experience leading tours around the world, Tom and Joan bring a rare mix of deep travel expertise, logistical know-how, and a true love of people to every journey.

Tom, with over 15 years as a tour director and visits to 60+ countries, believes in taking the road less traveled—or the longest staircase—to uncover the hidden corners that make a place unforgettable.

Joan, a seasoned tour director and unofficial Chief Happiness Officer, ensures every detail is handled while building genuine connections that make travelers feel seen and supported. Her passion for female-forward experiences and love of Mexico shape many of the experiences 2 ToGo offers.

We believe group travel should feel like you're traveling with friends while someone else handled the details.

We are both lifelong learners, writers and storytellers, world travelers, animal lovers, lovers of gastronomic adventures and wine travel and big fans of each other :)

Joan Strong, Communications and Administration

After touring the colonial towns with a stranger named Tom Deus years ago on a whim, Joan believes Mexico is ALWAYS a good idea!

As a multi-passionate person with an entrepreneurial background, she's been able to launch various successful careers, most recently as a tour director. With all that experience she's developed a keen ability to make connections and a sharp administrative eye for forecasting, planning and attention to detail.

A skilled communicator, she makes sure every client or guest feels informed and supported from the first inquiry to beyond the final farewell.

Known for her ability to truly listen and connect with people, Joan brings her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to female-forward travel to every itinerary.

She founded the Wandering Women travel club to find and foster community through worldwide travel with other like minded women. You can check the club out here: WanderingWomenClub.com

Her love for Mexico fuels her mission to help women discover places that inspire, surprise, and welcome them in.

Her latest creation is a project "coming soon" called Camino de los Vinos, hoping to put Mexican wine "on the map" by creating a trail of wine regions with accompanying tours in Mexico and beyond. Look for an update on that soon.

Tom Deus, Planning and Logistics

Tom requires and ensures your 2 ToGo Travel group travel experience will feel personal, using his talents for creating itineraries and guest experiences that feel personalized, seamless, and fun.

He handles the planning magic at 2 ToGo Travel, ensuring each trip is thoughtfully crafted, creating a "Unique Taste of Place" experience while building in flexibility, in keeping with his favorite travel style, authentic discovery.

With a degree in Architecture and 15+ years of experience as a tour director and journeys to over 60 countries, he knows how to build an itinerary that will transform a trip into a story worth telling.

Tom’s curiosity leads him to off-the-beaten-path places, and he never misses a chance to find the longest staircase or hidden alley that brings a destination to life.

He genuinely enjoys introducing travelers to places that have captured his heart, and he's captured many travel moments in story form.
